I want to upgrade the ram from 2 G to 4 G on my 15 inch macbook pro 5,1 2.4 Gh intel core 2 duo, and I'm new to this caper. My manual specifies PC3-8500 DDR3 1066 MHz type ram; 1.25 inch; 200 pin. I used crucial's scanner and the product suggested is 204 pin rather than 200. Does this matter? Thanks Sally

Hi Sally
I believe the 200 pin reference in the manual is a typo and is on old reference to the older DDR2 memory which is 200 pin. It should be the DDR3 204 pin as Crucial's scanner has suggested. See a knowledge base article from Apple that also shows 204 pin: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1270
Thanks,
Ron
