I recently purchased (2) 2 GB SD cards for use in Canon SD600 Camera. The manual says the camera was tested up to and including 2GB SD cards. I ran the new cards through the formatting procedure in the camera. After taking a few still shots and some video which I viewed in the camera playback mode, I tried to download to my computer. The new drive letter showed but it either asks for a disk to be installed or it says disk not formatted. When it asked if I wanted the computer to format the disk, a "YES" answer was followed by "This disk cannot be formatted". When right-clicking the drive icon and clicking Properties, it says File System RAW.
Both of the two cards act exactly the same. Please help.
The number on the plastic box is BL1119H.2G 110057

Hi realpete,
Your camera should definitely support 2GB cards so these should be compatible. You've seen that they work in the camera ok so it sounds like some sort of conflict through the PC. When you are trying to transfer the data to the PC is it just through a USB cable and the camera or do you use a separate card reader?
If possible, try through a card reader and also try in other systems to see if you get the same problem.
You may have to reformat it through you operating system but please note this will erase any data from the card.

My 5-yr old HP Laptop has an SD memory card slot built in, so this is how I transfer to the computer. This slot still works fine for several 250 MB cards purchased from Crucial 2 or 3 years ago. I did read somewhere on this forum that older computer slots probably are not compatible with SDHC cards. Is it possible that what I received may actually be SDHC cards but are just marked SD? As a reminder, the card boxes are marked BL1119H.2G 110057.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

My problem is similar and I can't find what I'm looking for in the FAQ.
I have a Panasonic TV with a SD slot. I copied my photos from my PC to a SDHC card and the TV wouldn't read it. I did find a 1GB SD card and was able use it to show many of my photos, so everything works -- except I'm guessing that the TV can't read SDHC.
Comments?
What is the maximum storage for a SD card that is not HD and where do I find one?

SDHC cards will only work in SDHC enabled devices so it sounds like your TV does not have this capability.
SD cards are available in densities up to 2GB and 4GB and above is classed as SDHC (high capacity).
I hope this helps!
