I was a bit disappointed with my latest Crucial order. I am building a new system, and ordered all the components on the same evening. I ordered my memory from Crucial as usual (and as recommended to all my friends). Well the rest of he components arrived the next day by Royal Mail Parcelforce, but I'm stuck having to wait for an additional 4 (yes 4) days for my memory to arrive. I really don't think people realise how good Royal Mail are, and how totally rubbish other couriers are, Its unlikely I will use Crucial in future, I just don't think waiting 5 days for an order is reasonable. And no I don't work for Royal Mail, or have any association with them.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that you had a negative experience with Crucial on this occasion. 

We understand the importance of a timely delivery so during the strike period we wanted to limit disruption as much as possible for customers by changing our delivery options.  We continued to offer Royal Mail Packet Post for customers who wished to use this service but also offered a faster option with UPS.  We could not guarantee that the service level for Royal Mail Special Delivery could be met, so removed this temporarily to avoid disappointment.

For the most part the courier deliveries have been very efficient, however in your case it has taken a bit longer than normal.  This may have been because it was with the courier at the end of the week and in some areas they do not make a Saturday delivery.  I do apologise for this delay and the inconvenience it has caused you.

Please be assured that now the strike period is over we will be reverting back to our normal delivery options, with Royal Mail Special Delivery being reinstated on the website in due course.
